We will have a full promo and better skate
photos to post as soon as we get them, so
for now enjoy some of the photos we took
during the trip!
Here is a Day by day breakdown of how the
tour went by Wahzel Himself (Ryan King)
Day1:
We kicked off our Flatline tour shortly
after picking up Matt Dryer who flew in
from Los Angeles and Nolan Lee making the
venture from NYC . We hit some street spots
in Jacksonville, FL including a new spot.
The next stop was Kona skatepark Wednesday
night, the park was packed and everyone
had fun.
Day 2:
We left Jacksonville, FL on Wednesday morning
heading for Gainesville,FL. We arrived in
Gainesville and went to a couple of warm
up spots only to be rained out the rest
of the afternoon. We all decided to dip
to Tallahassee, FL early and get some extra
skating in at FSU and FAMU. We meet some
friends at the park for a quick warm up
and then went to the near perfect FSU 9
stair to 6 stair set up. This is where we
spent most of the afternoon, we were there
for well over an hour without ever being
kicked out. Kenny, Fink, Neland, and Nolan
got tricks and we called it a day. Actually
we all went back to the park that night
to film some park lines and cruise.
Day 3:
Myself, Fink, and Nolan picked up lil Paul
Wall Hart in Lake City, FL and headed back
to Tally to round up everyone else. We stopped
by Phaze One Skateshop to set up new decks
and went back to the 9 stair to 6 stair
set up at FSU. This session was hype! Paul
sparked the sesh with a kickflip, nollie
heelflip line. I think everyone got a tight
line or trick this session. After not being
kicked out for over an hour and a half again
we headed to the 13 stair across campus.
Wow! This is a big ass set! Once again another
hype session for over an hour and no bust!
Look out for the footy at the 13. After
more than 3 fun hours of skating FSU with
no bust or hassle, we decided to hit up
the FAMU rails. Paul and Fink were the ones
feeling this spot both getting lines. Our
homie Tim took us to a couple amazing manual
pad spots in an industrial section of town
that were super fun. The first manual pad
was like a step up or euro gap up, curved
to the left and dropped off of a chest high
loading dock. We skated this place till
dark! After dark we again after 7 hours
of skateboarding couldnt pass up the skatepark
Day 4:
We woke up at a decent hour and headed to
Atlanta, GA. We arrived in Atlanta in the
mid afternoon, stopped by Stratosphere Skateshop
and then went to this foundation spot. This
place is super fun to warm up or get a line.
The foundation overlooks the skyline and
theres a really urban vibe with all the
graffiti. We got stuck at this spot for
a couple hours before heading downtown.
Brenten and Fink were doing some amazing
lines at the Foundation. It was almost dark
when we went downtown. We hit up this famous
hubba wall. This is not something you really
want to skate in the dark, but Paul, Corey
N, and Brenten were into it.
Day 5:
We woke up a little later on our final day
of the trip and headed straight downtown.
Our luck in downtown Atlanta was the exact
opposite of our no bust factor in Tallahassee.
We got kicked out of every spot downtown
in a matter of minutes. We went back to
Bubba Hubba after being booted and Fink,
Matt Dryer, and Kenny went for hammers quick.
We then headed to the low back to back 13
stair rails where everyone was starting
to get into the session just in time to
get the quick boot from ATLs finest. The
tour was nearing an end so we saved the
best for last. Everyone went for broke at
the huge 4-block. This thing is bigger than
it looks. Everyone went to town at this
spot! This was the perfect ending to a trip.
Definetly one of the most hyped sessions
Ive witnessed, unreal! Look out for the
footy from this spot in the new Flatline
promo!
Flatline would like to thank everyone that
made this tour possible in no particular
order: The Tally heads (JP Thomas, Timmy
Thompson, Jordan Elliot, Tally Will, Trey,
and Morgan), Phaze One skateshop, Brenten
Riley and Chelsea for the hospitality in
Atlanta, Anthony Williams, Stratosphere,
Ruin, ATL friends we made, Gainesville and
Atlanta Wahzels. Everyone that reps Flatline.
Thanks to FSU and FAMU for letting us skateboard
without any hassle.
No thanks to the downtown security in Atlanta
and really friendly Police officers!
