How crazy is this! Some of the Flatline crew was recently in Costa Rica, when we stumbled across this amazingly similar natural Flatline logo! We were driving down on a dirt road when Josh Lauderman (co-founder of Flatline) and the designer of the logo yelled out, "turn around, you've got to see this". On second look, sure enough it looked just like the Flatline logo and we had to put a sticker up and take pics.

Levi and our good friends at Urban Art Warfare recently made the trek down to Orlando's Surf Expo to check out the latest trends in apparel and design. No Urban Art Warfare road trip would be complete without some poster bombing and street art. The crew teamed up with Dolla, a well known Florida street artist and designer. The MIA2ATL tour is over as the Flatline crew hit the road in late August for an End of Summer trip and It all went down off the hook! No one got arrested, no animals were harmed during the trip and everyone made it back to there homes safely but after it was all said and done, everyone was only left wanting more. Some of the Flatline crew recently made a day trip down to the Orlando Skatepark for the School's Out Contest. It was super hot, but we had a great day and made some new friends. Spring is in full effect and there seems to be more skateboard events than ever right now. One upcoming event that should not be missed is the Flatline/Kr3w in the Ghetto at Skatelab in Jacksonville, FL on Saturday April 15th . This is not your typical skatepark contest. This event will be more of an embracing of street skateboarding and urban culture with graffiti, hip hop djing, dice rolling and a straight up grimmie street course. The entire event will be held outside of Skatelab in the streets with obstacles like junkyard cars, refrigerators, barricades, wall rides, and rails. Flatline would like congratulate lil Paul "Paul Wall" Hart on his first contest victory in the sponsored division at the
DVS/Flatline/Surfstation Treaty Tri-fecta contest last weekend, downing the some of the elite. Both of Paul's runs were amazing. During his second run he stuck a nollie heelflip down the 7ft quarter, this is equal to a 16ft drop for the rest of us. Also peep the new trip of the month by Mr. Paul Wall himself. So the most hectic month (January) in skateboarding is finally past, along with Tampa Am 2006. The talent at this year's Am was world class as usual with skateboarders traveling from Australia, Brazil, Europe, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Columbia in addition to the top Ams in the U.S. There was some amazing skateboarding all weekend long, with Cody McEntire from Belton, Tx taking the event. Cody stood out amongst others each day. The best trick was the highlight of the weekend with any of the top 8 finishers throwing down hammers that could have won any other best trick contest. Here is a list of some of the more memorable tricks that went down on the rail: nollie flip feeble, gap out nollie heel lip, gap out kickflip feeble 180 out, switch tailslide 270 out, 270 switch frontboard shuv out, big gap out backlip, big gap out back 50, gap out kf front 50, the list goes on and on. Once everyone has recovered from the always exciting Surf Expo, the Flatline crew will be heading down to Tampa for the prestigous Tampa Am January 26th-29th. Yet another event that should not be missed for any reason. Come out and support Matt Fink, George Evans, Alex Safier, Nolan Lee, and Sean Conover. Definetly look out for Sean Conover, as he finished 2nd in the street event and 2nd in best trick. In addition to the Am, the Skatepark of Tampa crew are the greatest hosts, throwing some fun bashs and events throughout the entire weekend.
